Steve Harris - Vice President, Operations
Steve Harris has been involved in the drilling, completion, and production aspects of the oil and gas industry for nearly thirty years; and he didn't spend most of that time behind a desk. Steve brought with him real-life, hands-on experience in virtually every facet of field operations when he joined O'Brien Energy Company in 2000.
From Montana, to Arkansas, to Louisiana and Texas, Steve has supervised and coordinated field operations in all manner of locations presenting all manner of challenges which he has always overcome, even when it meant developing new techniques to do it. At O'Brien Energy, Steve draws from that experience in coordinating with geology, land, and operations to maximize drilling efficiencies and field exploitation-getting the most for the least. He has also headed a Special Shales project in Illinois for O'Brien and has built salt water systems for the company. Steve was promoted from Operations Manager to Vice President of Operations in 2001, and assumed the post of Vice President of Production in 2005. He resumed the duties and title of Vice President of Operations in 2010.
Steve Harris holds an Associate in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston.
