Kristin Smart - Controller, Oil & Gas Companies
Kristin Smart gained insights into O'Brien Energy Company and its accounting procedures while an auditor for the accounting firm that conducted the company's annual independent audit. She joined the O'Brien accounting department in September 2009, and in just two years was promoted to the management team in the position of Controller of Oil & Gas companies. In that role, Kristin is responsible for all revenue accounting and joint interest billing for O'Brien Energy Company and its affiliates, SEPCO II and O'BENCO III.
Kristin holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Accounting and a Masters of Professional Accountancy from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston. She attained her designation as a Certified Public Accountant in 2011. She is a member of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies, and the Shreveport Chapter of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants.
