Gary Love - Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary
Gary H. Love joined O'Brien Energy Company as General Counsel in 2007, following a distinguished career in legal practice with the federal government, a major natural gas corporation, and an independent Shreveport law firm. As O'Brien Energy's chief legal officer, Gary is in charge of all contract drafting and review, litigation and claim management, corporate governance compliance, and corporate secretary functions. He was promoted to Senior Vice President and Secretary at O'Brien in 2009.
For nine years prior to coming aboard at O'Brien, Gary was an associate and partner at the Shreveport firm of Blanchard, Walker. His practice there focused on mergers and acquisitions, oil and gas title work, and business planning across industry lines. Before his association with Blanchard Walker, Gary had been Assistant General Counsel for Noram Energy, and had earlier spent three years on the legal staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Corporate Finance.
Gary H. Love holds a Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from LSU. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association, and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
