Ronny Martin-Senior Petroleum Landman
Ronny Martin’s extensive experience in petroleum land work in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi made him a valuable asset to O’Brien Energy when he joined the company as Senior Landman in 1999. He had nearly thirty years’ experience in lease acquisition and management when he came aboard.
Ronny began his career in the late 1960s working leases in Northwest Louisiana and Mississippi for Shreveport’s Placid Oil Company. He later shifted his focus to south Louisiana and built his expertise in the Gulf Coast Region, first for the LaTerre Company, then as District Manager for Hunt Energy Corporation, where he supervised as many as 50 land brokers in a three-state area. Returning to Shreveport in the early 1980’s, Ronny continued working in lease acquisition, title search and curative, and right of way negotiations as an Independent Petroleum Landman. He had O’Brien as one of his clients before joining the O’Brien team full-time.
Ronny Martin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen and the Ark-La-Tex Association of Petroleum Landmen
