Carl Pendley - Director of Communications
Carl Pendley brings more than 30 years' experience in communications to his position at O'Brien Energy Company. Immediately prior to joining O'Brien, Carl was the long-time primary news anchor at KSLA-TV (CBS) in Shreveport, Louisiana, the culmination of an award-winning 34 year career in television news which began while Carl was a student at Texas Tech University. He joined O'Brien as Director of Communications in 2007.
Carl's primary responsibilities at O'Brien involve keeping the company's partners, investors, and employees apprised of continued advances in O'Brien's exploration and production activities and business expansion. At O'Brien, Carl relies on the same skill-set that guided his successful television career. His reporting now, however, centers on one company in one industry, and is geared to a specific and much more focused audience.
Carl Pendley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. In 2008 he received a gubernatorial appointment to the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission and has served as a Commissioner since then. Carl and his wife also own the Pendley Piano Gallery, the exclusive authorized representative for Steinway & Sons pianos in the Shreveport market.
