Dawn Strandridge - Geologist
As a member of O'Brien's team of geologists, Dawn Standridge has a hand in virtually all phases of exploration in Texas, Kansas, and Illinois. She interprets data to better guide proposed drilling locations, assembles and correlates mudlogs, and continually updates show reports from drilling wells. Dawn also proposes zones of interest for completion in newly drilled wells and serves as on-site geologist at drilling sites. The maps and cross-sections she creates are vital in frac planning and as exhibits in presentations.
Prior to joining O'Brien in 2007, Dawn gained experience in geophysical consulting at Hill Geophysical Consulting and in sonar mosaic processing at C & C Technologies. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. She is a member and past officer and Board Member of the Shreveport Geological Society, and a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
